1903 REMINGTON RIFLE PLUS
The stock rates in about Very Good Plus to Fine overall condition as refinished.įinish Originality: Refinished. The LOP measures 13 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The most prominent marks are on the left side of the forearm. The wood shows several scrapes & scratches that have been finished over. It shows several small scratches and discoloration. The refinished buttplate has surface erosion showing through the finish. Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece hardwood stock has a pistol grip, metal nosecap, barrel band, stacking loop, sling loop under the butt, 2 through bolts, and a metal buttplate with hinged door for storage. When flipped up separate notches and an aperture on the ladder can be used for sighting. The rear sight is a “U” notched blade attached to a fully adjustable sight ladder marked from “3-27”. Sights / Optics: The front sight is a pinned blade atop a barrel mounted base.
The left side of the stock is marked with a faded “J” above the trigger. The underside of the bolt handle is marked “R” for remington. The safety is marked “SAFE READY” and the magazine cutoff is marked “ON OFF”. The top of the WWII High Standard replacement barrel is marked “H S / flaming bomb / 9 – 44” and the right is marked “P”.
